Accounting Clerk

PURPOSE: - THIS POSITION IS HYBRID OUT OF MESA, ARIZONA

The Accounting Clerk will support the Finance team with various accounting projects and tasks as assigned. In addition, the 

Accounting Clerk will help ensure records are consistent with all submitted financial statements. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide timely case resolution regarding payment discrepancies
• Maintain clear, concise and usable documentation of activity
• Support and assist with inquiries from other department providing timely responses / resolution
• Be responsible for monitoring email distribution lists and ensure timely responses are provided
• Record banking activity in accounting system as directed
• Shadow other team members
• Ad hoc projects as assigned
• ALL Acumen employees will be vigilant to support the positive compliant cybersecurity company posture by familiarizing themselves with all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines and act accordingly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have relevant experience. A degree in a business-related field is preferred but not required
• Proficient with computers and different finance programs including Excel
• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships
• Have strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work without distraction
• Must have a very high sense of rigor to prevent any form of mistake that may occur in the process of documenting financial information
• Must be a team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge
• Ability to work independently and as a team player

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

• Communicate effectively in individual or group situations including demonstrating active listening skills
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, using accurate grammatical form, and able to read and interpret written information
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
