COMPANY & CULTURE

Crane Company (NYSE: CR) is a premier global industrial technology company that designs and manufactures highly engineered products and solutions for mission-critical applications across aerospace, defense, space, life sciences, energy, water infrastructure, and industrial markets. With approximately 8,300 associates in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, and annual sales exceeding $3 billion, Crane has built a 170-year legacy of innovation, operational excellence, and value creation.  Crane operates through two market-leading segments, Aerospace & Advanced Technologies (AAT) and Process Flow Technologies (PFT), where the Company holds leadership positions through differentiated technologies, trusted brands, deep engineering expertise, and long-standing customer relationships. Across the industries we serve, our products help customers operate more safely, efficiently, reliably, and sustainably in environments where performance matters most.

  • Crane's culture is grounded in the principles established by founder R.T. Crane and embodied in the Company's enduring Resolution:  "I am resolved to conduct my business in the strictest honesty and fairness; to avoid all deception and trickery; to deal fairly with both customers and competitors; to be liberal and just toward employees; and to put my whole mind upon the business."

Every day, Crane associates work to solve customers' most critical challenges through innovative solutions, exceptional quality, and industry-leading on-time delivery. This customer-centric mindset drives everything we do, creating value not only for our customers, but also for our associates, communities, and shareholders.
  • At the center of this approach is the Crane Business System (CBS), our enterprise-wide operating framework that drives strategy deployment, operational excellence, innovation, continuous improvement, and profitable growth. CBS creates a high-performance culture built on accountability, data-driven decision making, and a disciplined cadence of execution, enabling Crane to consistently deliver superior results and sustain long-term competitive advantage.  More than 170 years later, these principles continue to guide how we lead, make decisions, and conduct business around the world. Our commitment to integrity, ethics, respect, and accountability remains a defining characteristic of the Crane culture.
  • Crane's success is powered by exceptional talent. Through our rigorous Intellectual Capital (IC) Process, leaders take a disciplined Strategy → Structure → People approach to building organizational capability and developing future leaders. The IC process spans the entire associate lifecycle, from talent acquisition and onboarding to development, performance management, succession planning, compensation, and recognition. This disciplined focus on talent ensures associates are empowered to grow, contribute, and achieve their full potential while supporting the Company's long-term business objectives.
  • Equally important is our commitment to corporate citizenship. For generations, Crane has invested in the communities where we live and work through philanthropy, volunteerism, environmental stewardship, and inclusive workplace practices. We believe sustainable success is achieved not only through strong business performance, but through making a meaningful and lasting impact on people and communities.
