Location: In office role- Midland, TX Type of pay: Non Exempt/ Hourly
Purpose: The Human Resources Specialist provides operational and administrative support across the employee lifecycle, with primary responsibility for recruiting coordination, onboarding, HRIS administration, employee records management, and HR compliance. This position plays a critical role in delivering exceptional employee experience while ensuring HR processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Coordinate recruiting activities, including posting positions, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and coordinating hiring logistics.
Prepare offer letters and pre-employment documentation.
Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements.
Maintain applicant tracking records and recruiting metrics.
Onboarding & Employee Experience
Manage the onboarding process from offer acceptance through new hire orientation.
Complete I-9 verification, employment documentation, policy acknowledgements, and HRIS setup.
Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure a positive onboarding experience.
Partner with managers to ensure successful employee onboarding and integration.
Coordinate employee recognition and engagement activities.
HR Administration
Maintain employee personnel files and electronic HR records.
Process employee status changes, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and terminations.
Maintain accurate HRIS employee data.
Prepare employment verification letters and other HR documentation.
Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment documentation.
Maintain HR forms, templates, and standard operating procedures.
HR Operations & Compliance
Support annual HR processes including performance reviews, compensation administration, open enrollment, compliance reporting, and required training.
Assist with internal and external HR audits.
Maintain compliance with employment record retention requirements.
Coordinate required compliance training and maintain training records.
Generate HR reports and dashboards as requested.
Administrative Support

Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Two (2) to three (3) years of Human Resources or administrative experience preferred. Recent Human Resources graduates with relevant internships or related experience are encouraged to apply.
Experience coordinating onboarding, recruiting, or HR administration.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
Able to sit for long periods of time; push, pull, lift, carry maximum weight 25lbs.
