Position Summary
The Student Social Media and Marketing Assistant is a part-time student worker position that supports the Graduate Programs of Nurse Anesthesia ( GPNA ) through content creation, social media engagement, event promotion, and marketing initiatives. Working under the supervision of GPNA faculty and staff, the student assistant will help showcase student experiences, program achievements, simulation activities, community outreach, and special events. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in healthcare marketing, communications, social media management, photography, videography, and event promotion while contributing to the visibility and success of one of the nation’s largest nurse anesthesia programs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Social Media Support · Assist with maintaining GPNA social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms. · Create and schedule posts highlighting student activities, faculty accomplishments, simulation events, graduations, and program milestones. · Assist with developing engaging content including photos, videos, graphics, and short-form social media content. · Monitor social media engagement and provide recommendations for increasing audience reach and participation. Content Creation · Capture photographs and videos during GPNA events, simulation labs, workshops, and ceremonies. · Design promotional graphics using Canva or similar design platforms. · Assist in creating newsletters, announcements, and digital marketing materials. · Collect student and alumni stories that showcase program success and professional achievements. Event Promotion and Support · Assist faculty and staff with marketing and promotion of: o GPNA Open House events o Simulation Symposium o Graduation ceremonies o Student organization activities o Recruitment events o Alumni engagement activities · Provide event-day support including photography, social media updates, and attendee engagement. Website and Communications Support · Assist with maintaining current content on GPNA webpages and digital communication platforms. · Help organize photo and video archives for future marketing use. · Support communication efforts with prospective students, alumni, and program stakeholders
