Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an adaptable, driven Accounting Clerk who desires to be part of a dynamic team with company values centered around teamwork, ownership, and professionalism.
Essential Duties:
- Provides various administrative support services to assigned Group, Division or Department by performing a wide variety of duties.
- Fulfills all requirements of the position relating to maintaining accurate, complete and organized records; provides a wide variety of reports to appropriate parties.
- Assist Accountants and other financial professionals with gathering supporting documentation for various needs.
- Processing paperwork electronically for weekly/monthly check runs to subcontractors.
- Recordkeeping duties related to check runs and processing receipts for various vendors.
- Subcontractor communication daily/weekly/monthly in conjunction with payments
- Mail processing.
- Clerical duties to include, but not limited; take notes during meetings, making copies and scanning to add to a digital filing system.
- Utilize software to input data into several financial documents
- Proactively, professionally and with a team-focused attitude collaborates and communicates with team members throughout the company to integrate activities and achieve goals.
- Complies with established company operating policies and procedures in order to maintain adequate controls and to support the adherence to outside regulatory requirements.
- Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
- Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of the company’s core values and commitment to a safe working environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to grasp technical issues and comfortable working within a changing environment.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
- Detailed orientated
- Strong problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer proficiency: MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and writing skills.
- Ability to be a hands-on learner in a busy accounting office with desire for growth in the future.
Education/Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Accounting background/experience or currently enrolled in business/accounting program a plus.

- Physical demands: Physical demands are minimal and primarily performed in an office setting; some lifting may be required but the demand should not be greater than 20 lbs.
- Work Environment: Work environment is primarily within office settings. However, some travel may be required to support administrative services, attend various events, make deliveries or pick up various items, etc. When travel is required, the incumbent will be subject to unavoidable travel-related hazards
