Bookkeeper / Finance Operations (Vk Capital Ventures) job
jobAbout
VK Capital Ventures Inc. runs Travel Villa Kitchen — a Houston chef co-op, cooking-class and private-dinner company (plus Six Rows Coffee and Farm2Chef, our farmer-chef marketplace). We are Human First service practitioners: healthy communication and people who are happy and emotionally safe in service is how we work. We are hiring a Bookkeeper / Finance Operations partner to keep our money clean: the ledger current, payroll watched, settlements accurate, and investor reporting supported with numbers that reconcile.
Responsibilities
- Own the ledger: transactions categorized and reconciled on cadence, nothing left aging unexplained
- Payroll watch: hours, rates, and payouts checked against the schedule before money moves
- Settlements: marketplace, demo, and pool settlements calculated accurately and paid on time
- Support investor and grant reporting with reconciled figures, on request and on schedule
- Flag discrepancies the day you see them — our standard is one number, everywhere
Qualifications
- Bookkeeping experience for a small business or nonprofit (BLS anchor range: Bookkeeping Clerks / Accountants & Auditors)
- Fluency with spreadsheets and standard bookkeeping/accounting tools
- Reconciliation discipline and discretion with financial data
- Marketplace or multi-line business experience a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Schedule
Part-time, 0.5 FTE — weekly cadence with month-end close coverage.
Benefits
- $30,000/yr pro-rata (0.5 FTE of a $60,000 full-time equivalent, per the hiring-suite budget)
- Clean, system-driven books: our data pipelines hand you reconciled inputs, not shoeboxes
- A written role SOP and growth path from day one
