The HR Assistant provides administrative and recruiting support to the Human Resources team across multiple locations. This position is responsible for coordinating recruiting activities, maintaining HR records, supporting HR processes, and ensuring the department operates efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Manage job postings across recruiting platforms and company career pages.
Source candidates through job boards, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
Review resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings.
Schedule interviews and coordinate calendars with hiring managers and candidates.
Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
Prepare offer letters and employment-related correspondence.
Track candidate status and maintain the applicant tracking system.
Assist with recruiting events, job fairs, and community outreach efforts.
Monitor recruiting metrics, open positions, and hiring activity.
Maintain electronic personnel files and ensure documents are organized and up to date.
Process HRIS transactions, including new hires, status changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
Prepare employment verification letters and other routine HR correspondence.
Assist with HR reporting, spreadsheets, and data entry.
Track policy acknowledgments and required documentation.
Maintain HR department records and filing systems.
Assist with annual HR projects, audits, and special initiatives.
Respond to routine employee questions regarding HR policies, forms, and procedures.
Assist with employee recognition and engagement activities.
Provide administrative support to HR Director and HR Managers on various projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
2+ years of HR administrative or recruiting experience preferred.
Experience in a multi-site or manufacturing environment is a plus.
Experience with an HRIS; ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
