 Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support all aspects of HR operations. This role is responsible for recruiting, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and HR program coordination in a fast-paced environment.



Requirements

 Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and ensure completion of all onboarding documentation.
  • Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, 401(k), and FMLA tracking.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with employee relations, investigations, and corrective action processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Coordinate training programs and maintain training records.
  • Track temporary and permanent workforce staffing levels.
  • Support safety initiatives and HR audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field (Required)
  • 2–4 years of Human Resources experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • PHR certification (Preferred)

Required Skills

  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations
  • Payroll processing experience (Paylocity preferred)
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and workers’ compensation
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience working in an automotive or manufacturing setting

Work Environment

  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment
  • Exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and fast-paced conditions
  • Must be able to maintain regular attendance and meet scheduling requirements
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking
  • Frequent computer use and communication
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
