We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist. This position is ideal for an HR professional with 3–5 years of generalist experience who enjoys balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

This role is currently set for a 5-month assignment.

The HR Generalist will provide day-to-day support across key HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and employee relations.

Payroll Administration

  • Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Enter and audit payroll changes, including:
    • Overtime hours
    • Bonuses
    • Salary adjustments
    • Benefit deduction changes
    • New hires
    • Employee terminations and PTO payouts
  • Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to processing.
  • Maintain payroll records in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits for qualifying life events.
  • Coordinate new hire benefit enrollments.
  • Support Health Savings Account (HSA) administration.
  • Assist employees with benefit questions and ID card issues.
  • Process benefit changes accurately and in a timely manner.

Performance Management

  • Coordinate the annual performance review process.
  • Partner with leadership to support annual merit planning.
  • Track review deadlines and communicate timelines to managers and employees.
  • Maintain performance documentation and follow-up activities.

Recruiting

  • Post open positions on appropriate recruiting platforms.
  • Screen applicants and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Conduct background checks and reference verification.
  • Prepare and extend employment offers.
  • Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.

Onboarding

  • Coordinate all new hire onboarding activities.
  • Initiate new hire paperwork in Paycom.
  • Create first-week schedules and calendar invitations.
  • Set up company email accounts and coordinate system access.
  • Update HR tracking spreadsheets and employee records.
  • Enroll employees in benefits and other required systems.
  • Help ensure a positive and organized onboarding experience.

Offboarding

  • Prepare separation documentation and exit communications.
  • Conduct exit interviews.
  • Process employee terminations in Paycom and other internal systems.
  • Coordinate final pay, PTO payouts, and benefits notifications.
  • Support involuntary termination processes in partnership with leadership.

General Human Resources Support

  • Administer the employee recognition program.
  • Respond to employment verification requests.
  • Assist with employee relations matters while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for various HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of Human Resources Generalist, HR Coordinator, or related HR experience.
  • Experience processing payroll using an HRIS or payroll system- preferably Paycom
  • Experience handling highly confidential employee information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
