Introduction

This is a full-time remote role for a Bookkeeper at a US based accounting firm. The bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the company's books, financial planning, financial reporting, record keeping, and more.

You will work directly with the executive team at a growing US based company.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Prepare and review profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and financial forecasts.

  • Handle regular reconciliations and track transactions.

  • Ensure proper categorization of expenses and revenue.

  • Support financial audits and reporting processes.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial data.

  • Collaborate with the executive team to support planning and decision-making.

  • Utilize project management tools to track and report bookkeeping tasks.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • 5+ years of experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.

  • Strong background in financial reporting and forecasting.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote setup.

  • High attention to detail and integrity with confidential information.

  • Proficiency in financial tools and project management platforms.

    Technical Requirements

  • Typing speed of 50+ words per minute.

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection.

  • A quiet, professional remote work setup.

  • Fast computer and dual monitor setup.

  • Willingness to work U.S. business hours.

Package & Remuneration

  • Monthly compensation: R20,000 – R40,000 ZAR, paid in USD based on experience.

  • Paid twice monthly under an independent contractor agreement.
